Springing Your Wardrobe Into Summer

Changing seasons is always very exciting because you get to bring out that outfit that has been stuck in the closet waiting to be worn. But it could also be some people’s least favorite when it comes to choosing your everyday look because you may feel as if you are unable to use your favorite pieces into the next season. We are telling you that you can!

That floral skirt or shorts? Yeah, it’s still in style. Huge tip is to pick out the brightest color on your skirt or shorts, no matter how small, and wear a top that color or similar.

Spring is usually full of pastel and light colors, but paired with muted dark colors, such as dark grey or brown, pops those colors out. This will give your spring pastels the illusion of bright and bold summer colors.

Also, it’s summer, so take that jacket off! Show off your bright colors, bandeaus, and cute back designs. If you need a little cover-up, a sheer cover-up is great. If you need a little more warmth, you can never go wrong with a denim jacket. Denim jackets just never really go out of style.

Depending on where you’re located, climate varies. So if you live in an area where it is a little more chilly or drenched in fog and rain, then incorporate summer colors into other pieces. Some examples are bold-colored outerwear or shoes. Those bright yellow rain boots don’t look so dumb now, do they?

Lastly, try something new. Be bold! Challenge yourself to at least rock one bold piece this summer. Whether it’s a bright lime green shirt, printed earrings, or fuschia slip-ons - own your look. Whenever picking out a new piece, it’s always important to imagine what you could pair with what’s already in your closet. DO NOT get a whole new wardrobe, instead recycle pieces. But adding one more to your collection is never bad, could be a reward, and a way to challenge yourself and get you out of your comfort zone this summer.

Be bold this summer queens. Good luck!
